Salon Receptionist

Are you an animal lover with a friendly smile and great people skills? Our dog and cat grooming salon is looking for a reliable, upbeat receptionist to be the welcoming face of our small but mighty business!

We are looking for 2 part-time (12-23hrs/week) or one all-time (24+hrs/week) receptionist(s)!

Training (paid) for this position is the week of June 8th. Regular shifts will begin on Monday, June 15th.

Pay starts at $15/hr! (based on experience)

The schedule varies hour-wise based on what is needed. A typical, average schedule (all-time) looks like this:

Monday: 9-3

Tuesday: 9-3

Wednesday: 9-3

Thursday: Off (unless the schedule is busy!)

Friday: 9-3

Saturday: 9-1

Part time is 2 or 3 days a week.

We are open Monday-Friday; 3 Saturday’s on, 1 Saturday off a month. Saturday availability is preferred, but availability every Saturday is not required.

What You’ll Do:

Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism

Ensure vaccines are up to date and waivers are signed

Answer the phone, reply to texts and emails, schedule appointments, and manage the daily calendars

Communicate clearly with groomers and clients about services and needs

Handle check-ins, check-outs, and payments

Keep the front desk and lobby clean, organized and welcoming

Help create a calm, positive experience for pets and pet parents

What We’re Looking For:

Friendly, dependable, and customer-service oriented

Comfortable around dogs and cats of all sizes and personalities

An understanding of safe handling of animals

Can lift up to 50lbs

Strong communication and multitasking skills

Problem-solving skills

Detail oriented

Basic computer and phone skills

Prior receptionist or customer service experience is a plus (but not required)

Multi-lingual is a plus (but not required)
