Job Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods throughout the facility. This role ensures accurate inventory control by utilizing scanning systems and maintaining proper documentation of all material transactions. The Material Handler supports production operations by delivering materials to work areas in a timely manner and removing completed goods for storage or shipment. Additionally, this position plays a key role in maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse and production environment while operating material-handling equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.

Essential Function

Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely; maintain required certifications (Forklift and Drexel)

Stock materials in designated inventory locations accurately.

Replenish materials to production areas and remove finished goods from work cells, ensuring all movements are properly recorded using scanning systems.

Transport finished goods to warehouse locations for storage or shipment.

Load and unload delivery trucks as required.

Operate material-handling equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.

Perform basic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and report equipment issues for repair.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Communicate and report any safety concerns or hazards promptly.

Support team operations by assisting with additional tasks and contributing to overall workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Ability to read and interpret numbers, labels, and written instructions to accurately transport materials and products to the correct locations.

Experience using handheld scanning devices for inventory tracking.

Minimum of one (1) year of experience operating a tow motor in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.

Proficient in safely and efficiently operating two motors and other material-handling equipment.

Basic written communication skills for reporting and documentation purposes.
