Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
Job Purpose:
To support the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects by coordinating technical activities, managing contractor and consultant interfaces, and ensuring compliance with project requirements, client standards, and applicable regulations. The role is primarily office-based in Abu Dhabi, with regular coordination with site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Tendering and service order preparation, including scope definition, technical evaluation, and commercial coordination
Assist in activities related to the transition projects with office and site team, also provide support in planning, scheduling, and coordinating all technical aspects of projects.
Follow up design drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
Support the Senior Project Manager in managing site activities, Service Orders, contractor performance, and coordination with consultants and stakeholders
Monitor work progress and ensure alignment with project schedule and quality standards
Participate in the preparation and review of technical submittals, method statements, RFIs, and progress reports
Assist in resolving design, construction, and site issues
Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and environmental standards
Act as the focal point between the Abu Dhabi office and site teams to ensure effective coordination and information flow
Support in quality compliance, cost monitoring and control activities
Participate in internal and client meetings, providing quality and technical input where required
Assist in preparation of handover documentation and project close-out reports
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline
Minimum of 15 plus years of experience
Experience in working with clients, contractors, and international stakeholders is an advantage
Key Skills:
Experience in Majnoon Oil Field, Basra, Iraq
Strong technical and engineering background
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and coordination abilities
Ability to work in complex environments with multi-disciplinary teams
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)
Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a plus
