Position Overview

OCS Construction Services is seeking an experienced Construction Project Superintendent - Arizona responsible for leading field execution, coordinating multiple construction trades, and maintaining organized jobsite operations on federal, state, and institutional construction projects.

Superintendent plans, coordinates, and supervises all on-site construction activities to ensure work is executed safely, in compliance with contract requirements, and aligned with approved project schedules and quality expectations.

This role requires strong field leadership, disciplined documentation practices, and the ability to coordinate subcontractors performing concurrent work activities on complex construction projects.

Project Environment

OCS Construction Services performs construction projects for federal, state, and institutional clients. Superintendents must be comfortable operating in structured construction environments requiring organized coordination, disciplined documentation, and adherence to contract requirements.

Projects may include work within:

government and public facilities

institutional campuses and operational facilities

secure environments requiring controlled site access

multi-trade construction environments

Superintendents must maintain organized job site operations while coordinating subcontractors and project stakeholders.

Project Types

OCS Construction Services performs construction work across federal, state, and institutional environments.

Projects may include:

federal and state government facilities

military installations and secure campuses

institutional infrastructure upgrade

mechanical and utility system improvements

building renovations and tenant improvements

site work and civil improvements

multi-trade construction projects with concurrent activities

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily field construction activities and coordinate subcontractor work

Manage multiple construction trades performing concurrent work operations

Maintain organized jobsite operations and efficient construction sequencing

Implement the construction phase schedule and monitor field progress

Identify schedule risks and coordinate recovery strategies when required

Maintain working knowledge of project drawings, specifications, and approved submittals

Ensure field activities comply with contract requirements and installation standards

Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and field personnel

Support quality control processes and inspection readiness

Promote and enforce safe work practices on the jobsite

Maintain accurate daily reports documenting manpower, progress, weather, and delays

Maintain professional coordination with project owners, inspectors, engineers, and consultants.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum ten (10) years’ experience serving as a Superintendent or Field Supervisor federal and state construction projects.

Demonstrated experience managing multiple construction trades simultaneously on complex projects.

Proven ability coordinating subcontractors across disciplines including mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, and architectural scopes.

Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to maintain organized field documentation and project records.

Required Field Experience

Candidates should have demonstrated experience supervising construction projects involving multiple subcontractors and concurrent trade activities.

Preferred experience includes:

federal or state government projects

infrastructure or mechanical system upgrades

projects involving multiple trades operating simultaneously

healthcare construction

ground-up construction

construction on projects with contract values of $5mil+

Preferred Qualifications

USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification (CQM-C).

Experience working on federal and state construction projects.

OSHA-30 / EM 385-1-1

First Aid and CPR

Technical Skills

Experience using Procore or similar construction management software preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams

Ability to maintain digital field documentation including daily reports and progress tracking.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work on active construction sites

Ability to pass governmental/federal background checks and security requirements

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to life 50 or more pounds.

Clean driving record.

NOTE: Very interested in a candidate's ability to conduct Constructability Reviews and Pre-bid Job Walks, and the ability to prepare Bid Estimates
