Purchasing Associate

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and procurement industry, is seeking a Purchasing Associate to join their team. As a Purchasing Associate, you will be part of the Ingredient Procurement Operations supporting various internal departments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Purchasing Associate

Location: Columbus, OH

Pay Range: $17/hr on w2

What's the Job?

Approve invoices to be paid at or below $50 thousand per purchasing authority.

Communicate continuously with external partners such as suppliers, third-party manufacturers, and freight carriers.

Coordinate with internal departments including Manufacturing, R&D, Production Planning, Engineering, and Label Control.

Support sourcing and securing agricultural and nutritional commodities required for global manufacturing operations.

Ensure procurement activities adhere to corporate purchasing policies and procedures to prevent production risks.

What's Needed?

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, sound decisions.

Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Understanding of inventory control and basic accounting principles.

Ability to prioritize tasks to enhance productivity and manage workload with minimal supervision.

Experience in procurement or supply chain management is preferred.
