Mechanical Test Engineer -Contract

Location: Loveland, OH

Compensation: $35-$50/HR

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field

4+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical or hardware system testing

Experience with instrumented test setups, including lab, rig, or test stand environments

Familiarity with data acquisition systems and sensor integration

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for mechanical and test systems

Effective communication and technical documentation skills in a collaborative environment

Responsibilities:

Partner with design engineering to define test objectives, requirements, and success criteria

Design, build, and commission mechanical test rigs for turbomachinery and propulsion subsystems

Develop and implement instrumentation plans, including installation of sensors and measurement devices

Configure and operate data acquisition systems to capture high-quality test data

Execute test programs, including setup, operation, troubleshooting, and data analysis

Lead test readiness reviews and contribute to design reviews with test planning input

Document test results and communicate findings to cross-functional engineering teams
