Job Summary:
The Engineer supports the execution of specialized audit functions within the Worker's Compensation Insurance Audit team. This role focuses on delivering accurate, timely, and compliant audit services while ensuring a high standard of professionalism and efficiency across diverse travel-based assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough audits of worker's compensation files, ensuring adherence to internal and external guidelines
Analyze documentation and payroll records to assess risk classifications and premium calculations
Review and verify client-submitted data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with audit standards
Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions
Communicate directly with clients and internal teams to gather necessary documentation and clarify audit issues
Identify inconsistencies or anomalies in data that may indicate misclassification or potential fraud
Utilize audit tools and software to document findings and maintain accurate records
Ensure compliance with all relevant state regulations and industry best practices during field or remote audits
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies
Proficiency in audit software and data analysis tools
Understanding of basic worker's compensation principles
Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
