Now Hiring! Pediatric Nurse Practitioner job in the Greater Charlotte, NC area – specifically, in Salisbury, NC – with a well-established, non-profit Child Advocacy Center. This is a mission-driven, outpatient-only role serving clients referred for child medical examinations through child abuse and neglect investigations in a structured, supportive environment.
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Job in the Greater Charlotte, NC area
Part-time employed position (30 hours per week)
Outpatient-only
No call, no weekends
Non-profit organization with 20+ years serving the community
4-Day Work Week
3 scheduled patient appointments per day – Appointments are 2 hours each
Works with multidisciplinary partners (law enforcement, DSS, etc.) to support investigations and provide trauma-informed care.
Key Responsibilities
1. Child Medical Evaluations
Perform 6-9 exams weekly, including preparation, documentation, and participation in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings
2. Clinical Documentation & Follow-Up
Prepare CME reports
Review lab and radiology results
Ensure appropriate follow-up care
3. Additional Responsibilities
Attend staff and medical team meetings
Provide education and mentorship to students or residents
Participate in community and professional training events
May be required to provide testimony

Requirements of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing (Pediatric Focus Preferred)
Board Certified by the ANCC or AANP as a Nurse Practitioner
Current/Active DEA licensure (as applicable)
Rostered CME Provider through the CMEP Program (assistance available if not already obtained)
Ongoing CME and licensure maintenance as required
Medical Knowledge of Child Abuse Issues / Willingness to Complete Needed TrainingCompany Description
