Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Technical Writer to work in the Mt Clemens, MI area.


•Develop and review IT communication products and plans.

•Coordinate with subject matter experts and engineers to obtain necessary input data.

•Capture real-time technical assessments and translate relevant technical details into plain language for a non-technical executive leadership audience.

•Demonstrate excellent writing skills, accurate and concise communication skills, and the ability to work with a wide range of people and engineering disciplines.

•Other support duties as needed/directed.


•5+ years of technical writing experience developing communications plans and products for internal and external audiences.

•Familiarity with cybersecurity communications language and subject matter.

•Experience developing news articles, monthly newsletters, executive messages, advanced PPT presentations and infographics.

•Excellent technical writing and editing skills, including the use of AP Style.

•Ability to research and analyze complex technical material and break it down into concise, compelling output that engages the reader.

•Ability to work well under pressure with clients, program managers and subject matter experts in a fast-paced cybersecurity environment.

•Desired expertise: Security, Technical, Communications, and Cyber Knowledge.


•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.


•Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.

•Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
