Network Engineer (Telecom) Chesterfield, MO $64,000.00 $81,000.00 - Full-Time Regular

Position Purpose:

•This position will work on the Voice Technology Services Design/Build team.

•Participate in technology evaluation and solution design teams.

•Performs activities required for timely completion of PBX and Call Center projects (e.g. installation, configuration, testing, status meetings, etc.)

•Creates project plans and/or manages to project implementation schedules.

•May travel for onsite office projects. (Travel up to 25%)

•Follows specific procedures for documenting new implementations, updating knowledge base, and creating technical documentation for handoff to Operations teams.

•Consults on Tier III support calls related to the PBX or Call Center architecture.

•Collaborates with senior team members for technical guidance and direction on many telecom related issues, including capacity, scalability, and upgrades.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent.

2+ years of related experience.

Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Experience troubleshooting advanced telephony issues and ability to work with senior engineers on problem diagnosis during implementation and testing phases.

Experience using network tools such as Wireshark, Visual Uptime, or others for troubleshooting and fault isolation on VoIP issues.

Experience implementing medium scale telecom projects and creating and following project plans using MS project or other tools.

Advanced knowledge of the OSI layer model.

Knowledge and hands on experience with advanced VoIP technologies and advanced network technologies (ex. VLANs, QoS, DHCP).

Advanced experience configuring and installing Cisco and Avaya PBX architecture. Basic understanding of Linux and Windows.

Working knowledge of Call Center applications, specifically Aspect and Avaya. Experience with cloud or UCaaS offerings a plus. (ex. ACD/IVR, call recording, Workforce Management, CMS, wallboard or digital signage products).

Avaya ACS, Cisco Telephony certification, or equivalent preferred. Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
