We are partnering with our client to identify experienced Project Managers to support long-term, onsite factory automation projects. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in industrial capital equipment project management within manufacturing or automation environments.
This is a long term contract position- (6-12 months with potential for contract to hire)
Position Overview
The Project Manager will lead end-to-end execution of complex factory automation projects, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and to customer expectations. This role requires close coordination with engineering, manufacturing, and customer stakeholders, along with full ownership of project performance through installation and warranty.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets (materials and labor)
Lead cross-functional project teams to ensure alignment on scope, timing, and deliverables
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, including leading regular project update meetings
Ensure project scope aligns with customer purchase orders and proposal terms
Track, document, and manage all project changes and change orders
Oversee design, build, and installation progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
Manage project financials, including forecasting and milestone-based invoicing
Coordinate and secure customer approvals for FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing)
Maintain accurate project documentation and provide reporting as needed
Drive customer satisfaction throughout the full project lifecycle, including warranty period
Qualifications
Experience managing capital equipment or factory automation projects
Working knowledge of mechanical systems and controls/automation
Strong project planning, budgeting, and change management experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred
Work Environment
Primarily onsite in Lewis Center, OH
Occasional travel to customer project sites (up to 10%)
Compensation is DOE $55-$65/hour
