Elementary Summer School

Information to please consider before applying:

Summer School will be held at Bush Elementary for students who are currently in grades K-5.

Summer School will run a full-day schedule and begins on Monday, June 1, and will run through Friday, June 26 (please ensure that you will be available the entirety of this time). Summer School will not be in session on Friday, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth.

Summer School work day will be on Friday, May 29th from 8:00 am-12:00 pm.

Summer School will be paid on an hourly basis.

Summer School Pay Rates:

Teachers - Hourly rate for BS Step 1 ($31.52 per hour)

Paraprofessionals - (current hourly pay rates)

Elementary Summer School hiring will be based on the following factors in the following order:

Years of experience working at summer school for FPS

Years of experience teaching for FPS

Years of experience teaching/teaching summer school for a different district

Elementary Summer School Positions Currently Available:

Kindergarten (3 classrooms)

1st grade (3 classrooms)

2nd grade (3 classrooms)

3rd grade (3 classrooms)

4th grade (3 classrooms)

5th grade (3 classrooms)

Physical Education (1 teacher)

Art (1 teacher)

Reading Interventionists (3 teachers)

Paraprofessionals

Nurse

Secretary

Social Worker/Family-School Liaison
