In our Columbus office, you won't just be another face in a sea of cubicles-you'll be a high-level strategist, a mentor to rising talent, and a key advisor to thriving businesses. - Review & Quality Control: Perform high-level review of federal and state income tax returns, ensuring technical accuracy and strict adherence to current tax legislation.
- Tax Planning & Advisory: Research and implement sophisticated tax planning strategies and projections to optimize client financial outcomes and minimize liability.
- Team Mentorship: Manage, mentor, and evaluate the performance of senior and staff associates, fostering a culture of continuous technical development.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, managing expectations, delivering specialized consulting, and resolving IRS or state tax authority inquiries.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5-7 years of progressive tax experience specifically within public accounting.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's in Taxation or MSA is highly preferred.
- Certification: Active CPA license is required for this role.
- Skills: Advanced proficiency in professional tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, GoSystems, or ProSystem fx) and expert-level Microsoft Excel skills.
- Attributes: Proven leadership capabilities, strong analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage high-level deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer
- Flexibility: A stable hybrid work schedule (3 days in-office) designed for professional autonomy and team collaboration.
- Total Rewards: Competitive salary between $120k-$150k, significant annual performance bonuses, and a 401(k) with firm matching.
- Comprehensive Benefits: Premium health, dental, and vision insurance plus generous PTO, summer hours, and paid holidays.
