Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer - Hardware Systems

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000

Our North Columbus location focuses on electrical engineering, embedded systems development, high performance hardware design, and production of ruggedized computing systems for government and commercial clients. Our customers include defense contractors, aerospace integrators, industrial technology firms, and organizations requiring custom high reliability computing solutions. For this Senior Electrical Engineer position, you will lead hardware design, embedded system development, and high speed interconnect engineering for next generation rugged computing platforms.
What You Will Be Doing
Lead electrical hardware design including schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, and system level integration using Altium Designer or similar tools
Develop embedded hardware and microcontroller based systems, supporting firmware teams and compute hardware integration across ruggedized platforms
Engineer high speed interconnects such as PCIe, Ethernet, USB, I2C, and UART, applying signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and hot plug sequencing best practices
Create and maintain engineering documentation, BOMs, test plans, and technical reports while collaborating with cross functional engineering and production teams
Support DVT, lab testing, and manufacturing environments to ensure compliance with MIL STD, safety, and regulatory requirements
What You Need for This Position
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering with strong experience in hardware design, schematic capture, and PCB layout
Proficiency with Altium Designer and familiarity with AutoCAD or ProgeCAD for documentation and layout support
Hands on experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers (PIC or similar), and high speed digital and analog design techniques
Strong understanding of interconnect protocols, EMI/EMC considerations, debugging, and system level hardware integration
Experience with rugged computing platforms, Intel or AMD processors, FPGAs, Linux based systems, and the ability to work effectively in lab and manufacturing environments
