Abcon Automation is looking for a reliable, experienced Construction Electrician to join our growing team. As a key member of our field team, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on a variety of job sites. Your work will directly contribute to delivering safe, efficient, and code-compliant projects.
Key Responsibilities
Install, connect, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring, and equipment per project specifications and blueprints
Read and interpret electrical schematics, construction drawings, and technical documents
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
Ensure all work meets National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and job site safety standards
Diagnose and resolve issues in both low- and high-voltage systems
Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other trades to keep projects on schedule
Document work performed, materials used, and inspection results
Support new construction, renovations, and retrofit projects
Assist with industrial automation systems, including basic PLC-related work when applicable
Qualifications
Proven experience as a construction or industrial electrician
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
Experience working with low- and high-voltage systems
Proficiency with electrical tools and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, ohmmeters, etc.)
Working knowledge of NEC and job site safety practices
Experience with PLCs or industrial automation is a plus
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing job site environment
Basic carpentry or general construction experience is a plus
Valid electrician license or certification (per local requirements)
