Job Title: Accounting Assistant

Job Type: Contract, Full-time or Part-Time

Harry Chang CA is currently seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant for a 3 month contract period with future potential for permanent hire.

Accounting Responsibilities:

Compilation of financial statements

Preparation of corporate T4, T5 and information returns

Preparation of personal income tax returns

Preparation of corporate income tax returns

Administrative Responsibilities:

Provide general administrative support to the accounting team

Regularly communicate and follow-up with clients and government representatives

Answer incoming telephone calls and redirect calls to appropriate individuals

Coordinate meetings with clients

Attend meetings with clients to take notes and summarize key issues

Organize and maintain paper and electronic files

Job Qualifications:

University courses completed in tax, financial & management accounting

Prior administrative and accounting experience would be an asset

Proficiency in MS Office is an asset

Advanced interpersonal and communication abilities (verbal & written)

Must be a team player and have the ability to work fast under pressure with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines;

Must be able to multi-task

Must be flexible to work overtime when necessary
