Requirements

Ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Communication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employees

Must be able to work collaboratively alongside others

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Good aptitude and manual dexterity

Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work

Ability to meet physical requirements of the job including lifting 50 lbs. and walking/standing for extended time periods

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

Ability to recognize and solve typical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval

Detailing structural steel-drilling/cutting holes and slots, coping, notching per engineering drawings

Continuously improve the processes by working with the management team for more efficiency

Analyzes drawings and specifications to plan welding operations

Proficiently uses all tools related to the welding process.

Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, and make necessary adjustments or repairs as needed

Perform basic housekeeping to keep work area clean and safe

Perform duties assigned

Experience

Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

3 + years of welding heavy steel

Welding Certification from a Vocational School or College

5 + years experience as a Mig welder

3 + years of overhead crane/rigging experience

High School Diploma or GED

Forklift experience preferred but not required

Must have excellent attendance
