Winterset Law Group is a growing law firm serving as Special Counsel to the Ohio Attorney General’s Collections Enforcement Section. Our firm focuses on post-judgment collections and helping individuals resolve outstanding state obligations through professional communication and structured payment arrangements.

We are seeking a Collections Advisor to join our team. This role involves communicating with individuals regarding outstanding obligations, discussing available resolution options, and helping establish voluntary payment plans.

This is a professional collections role within a law firm environment that emphasizes compliance, professionalism, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Communicate with individuals regarding outstanding state obligations

Discuss resolution options and establish payment arrangements

Maintain accurate records of communications and account activity

Follow firm procedures and applicable compliance requirements

Work collaboratively with attorneys and team members

Maintain a respectful and professional tone in all communications

Utilize phone, email, and other outreach methods to engage individuals

Qualifications

Collections, negotiation, call center, or customer service experience preferred

Strong communication and listening skills

Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally

Basic computer skills and ability to work within case management systems

Strong organization and documentation skills

High level of integrity and professionalism
