2 FNP Hospitalists Pensacola, FL vs

Our client, a hospital located in the Panhandle of FL, has a need for 2 Family Nurse Practitioners to join their team. One of the FNP positions will be required to travel between two sites that are about 45 mins apart. Candidates must be willing to work at either location as needed. The second FNP opening will be based in one location seeing mostly female patients. For both NP openings, you can expect to see about 20 patients a day on an average. Candidates MUST have at least 2 years of FNP experience. Sorry, no new grads.

Position Summary

In collaboration with a physician, assumes care management of a specific patient population. Following established nursing standards, procedures and practices, and working within the State of Florida Board of Nursing guidelines gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other staff.

Position Accountabilities

Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists, and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.

Provides case management services.

Performs histories and physicals. Writes initial nursing histories, assesses patients' conditions and develops individual care plans for patients.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education: Masters of Science in Nursing or minimal education requirements for certification. Certification in area of Specialty.

Minimum Qualifications: 2 to 5 years experience working with applicable patient population as an ARNP. Ability to greet and effectively relate to patients. Computer skills. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing. Presents oneself in a professional manner through appearance and conduct.

Certification/Registration: Florida licensed RN/ARNP. Certification as an ARNP as defined in Chapter 464 Florida Statutes. Certification by a nationally recognized certifying agency (ANCC or AANP). Ability to be credentialed with all payers including ability to pass background screening via state of Florida fingerprint check.

The FNP will receive a competitive salary, productivity bonus, relocation assistance/sign on bonus available, CME time off, as well malpractice insurance covered.

Salary range is $100-130K.
