This is a hands-on, execution-focused role, combining:75% Technical Leadership25% Project & Delivery Management You will work closely with a Product Manager, focusing on improving engineering team throughput, removing blockers, and ensuring delivery—not just planning.
Key Responsibilities 1.
Technical Leadership (Primary – ~75%)Lead data engineering and analytics initiatives, including:Data Hub enhancementsSemantic layer developmentProvide hands-on technical guidance across a team of ~22 members:Data EngineersBI DevelopersData AnalystsQA EngineersWork across onshore and offshore teams (PST overlap required)Guide architecture decisions, best practices, and technical directionManage technical workstreams across:SnowflakeSQL ServerCloud-based data platformsReview and prioritize backlog items and technical tasksStep in to resolve blockers and ensure smooth execution 2.
Project & Delivery Management (~25%)Own Agile delivery processes:Sprint planningBacklog groomingDaily standupsManage workflows using:Jira / Azure DevOpsConfluenceDrive accountability and ensure consistent delivery velocityOversee end-to-end execution:Requirements Development QA DeploymentAlign engineering output with product priorities in collaboration with the Product Manager Required QualificationsStrong background in Data Engineering or Data ArchitectureExperience working with:SnowflakeSQL / SQL ServerCloud-based data platforms and pipelinesProven ability to drive execution and delivery, not just manage plansHands-on experience with Agile methodologies:User storiesSprint ceremoniesBacklog managementExperience with:Jira or Azure DevOpsConfluenceStrong SQL skills (basic assessment expected)Ability to push teams constructively and improve delivery velocity
