Job Title: Graphic Designer (Print Production Focus) Location: Canton, MD (Onsite – Wednesdays required) Duration: 12+ Month Contract Client Industry: Healthcare Role Overview We’re looking for a hands-on Graphic Designer with strong expertise in print production and design from scratch—not just template edits.
This role is heavily focused on graphic editing, production, and high-volume asset creation across marketing and communications materials.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and produce print marketing materials from scratch including brochures, booklets, flyers, postcards, presentations, and corporate identity assetsSupport multi-channel campaigns (primarily print, with some digital and environmental assets)Handle high-volume production work, including resizing, versioning, and localizationPrepare print-ready files with proper specifications (bleeds, trims, color profiles, resolution, etc.)Maintain strict brand consistency and ensure quality control before final deliveryCollaborate with internal teams, vendors, printers, and agencies to ensure smooth production and fulfillmentOrganize and manage design files, naming conventions, and asset librariesContribute to improving creative workflows, processes, and documentation of best practices Required Qualifications5+ years of Graphic Design / Production experienceStrong portfolio demonstrating print design created from scratch (not template-based work)Proven experience in marketing, in-house creative teams, or advertising agenciesAdvanced proficiency in:Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)Microsoft PowerPointStrong understanding of layout, typography, iconography, and information hierarchy Top 5 Must-Have SkillsPrepress & File Preparation ExpertiseDeep knowledge of bleeds, trims, CMYK/RGB/spot colors, resolution, and print packagingAdvanced Adobe Creative Suite SkillsInDesign (master pages, styles, grids), Illustrator, Photoshop (smart objects, linked assets)Exceptional Attention to DetailPrecision in alignment, spacing, brand consistency, and final QCVersioning & Asset ManagementAbility to handle large volumes of variations and maintain organized file systemsProcess-Driven & Efficient WorkflowAbility to meet tight deadlines and deliver production-ready files with minimal oversight Preferred QualificationsExperience working on Mac systemsBackground in healthcare or health insurance (Medicare/Medicaid)Familiarity with ADA / Section 508 / WCAG accessibility standards Additional RequirementsPortfolio required (must showcase print work created from scratch)Ability to work onsite weekly (Wednesdays in Canton, MD)
