Job Description
The Mail & Document Processor is responsible for handling, organizing, digitizing, and maintaining incoming and outgoing mail and documents in a remote work environment. This role ensures accurate processing, classification, and secure handling of physical and electronic records.
The Mail & Document Processor supports business operations by maintaining document integrity, enabling efficient retrieval, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and data protection standards.
This is a fully remote position; however, applicants must currently reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will not be considered.Key Responsibilities
Process incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, scanning, and distribution
Digitize physical documents and upload them into document management systems
Classify, index, and organize documents for easy retrieval
Verify document accuracy and completeness before processing
Maintain secure and confidential handling of sensitive information
Track document workflows and maintain processing logs
Collaborate with internal teams to route documents appropriately
Perform quality checks to ensure data accuracy and compliance
Assist with records retention and archiving procedures
Support administrative and operational tasks as needed Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
1–3 years of experience in document processing, mailroom operations, or administrative support
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to handle high volumes of documents with accuracy
Strong time management and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment Preferred Qualifications
Experience with document management systems or digital filing tools
Familiarity with scanning and OCR (optical character recognition) tools
Experience with workflow or task management platforms such as Asana, Trello, or Monday.com
Knowledge of records management and compliance standards
