About the Church
Broadway Church of Christ is one of the oldest churches in Lubbock, Texas. It has been here for over 135 years. In that time, the church has played a significant role in the care and well-being of Lubbock and its residents by offering essential services to the community. They offer regular church services and essential spiritual programs for kids, teens, college students, young adults, people with special needs, single mothers, and families, as well as services for our community. Some examples include planting the Children's Home of Lubbock, Open Door, Lubbock Christian University, and Carpenter's Kitchen, which serves free hot meals to the community every week. Broadway started the first college ministry this side of the Mississippi, Atlas Campus Fellowship, formally known as the Bible Chair of Texas Tech. Additionally, Broadway serves the community by providing essential resources, such as a clothing closet, supervised visits, hygiene packs, help with prescriptions, and a preschool. Broadway has also had a significant impact around the world, being the first to send missionaries to Germany after WWII and to support mission work in Ecuador and Africa.
