Oakstone Community School is hiring a K–12 Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.
We are a small public school serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), offering small class sizes, collaborative co-teaching, and strong staff support.
Key Responsibilities (IEP, Special Education, Co-Teaching) •Manage IEP caseload (IEP development, annual reviews, compliance, progress monitoring) •Provide special education services, accommodations, and modifications •Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and track behavior data •Deliver direct instruction and co-teaching in inclusion and small-group settings •Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and diverse learning needs •Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers •Track student data, goals, and academic progress Required Qualifications (Ohio Licensure) •Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License oMild/Moderate OR Moderate/Intensive oDual licensure preferred •Experience with IEPs, special education compliance, and progress monitoring •Strong classroom management, differentiation, and collaboration skills •Ability to support students with disabilities, ASD, and below grade-level learners Preferred Endorsements / Content Areas •Science Teacher (MS/HS) – Biology, Physical Science, Chemistry •Math Teacher (Grades 7–12) – through Algebra II •ELA Teacher (MS/HS) – Reading, Writing, Language Arts Employment Requirements (Ohio Schools) •Willing to complete Ohio BCI & FBI background checks (upon hire and every 5 years) •Must obtain and maintain CPR / First Aid / AED certification (renewed every 2 years) Why Apply to Oakstone?
