About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to help ensure the reliability and trustworthiness of a platform used by financial institutions. Because our product supports sensitive banking workflows, quality, predictability, and release discipline are essential.

This role will focus on building automated test coverage, strengthening release processes, and ensuring defects are identified internally before customers encounter them. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to embed quality into every stage of development.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance and Testing

Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts

Develop comprehensive test plans based on product requirements

Perform manual validation testing prior to releases

Identify, document, and track defects through resolution

Expand regression coverage as features evolve

Automation and CI/CD

Improve and maintain automated testing frameworks

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

Monitor test coverage and reliability metrics

Reduce manual testing overhead through effective automation

Release and Configuration Management

Support structured release management processes

Validate builds prior to deployment

Coordinate testing cycles across development teams

Maintain documentation for version control and configuration standards

Process and Quality Improvement

Partner with engineers and product managers to define acceptance criteria

Advocate for quality early in the development lifecycle

Recommend tooling and process improvements that increase reliability

Required Qualifications

1 to 3 years of experience in QA, software testing, or automation

Experience writing automated tests in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages

Familiarity with automation frameworks such as PyTest, Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress

Understanding of REST APIs and backend systems

Strong attention to detail and structured documentation habits

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Django and React applications

Familiarity with CI/CD systems

Experience working in regulated or financial services environments

Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms
