Role Overview:
The Professor of Computer Science will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting impactful research, and contributing to academic leadership within the department. The role involves mentoring students, developing curriculum, and supporting institutional growth through research and industry collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Academic Delivery
Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science and related areas
Develop and update course materials aligned with current academic and industry standards
Adopt innovative and technology-driven teaching methodologies
Research & Publications
Conduct advanced research in areas such as AI, Data Science, Cybersecurity, etc.
Publish in peer-reviewed/UGC-CARE/Scopus-indexed journals
Secure research funding and undertake sponsored projects
Student Mentorship
Guide undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. scholars
Supervise dissertations, thesis work, and research projects
Academic Administration
Contribute to curriculum design, accreditation (NAAC/NBA), and institutional development
Undertake leadership roles such as HoD / Program Chair (if required)
Industry & Research Collaboration
Build strong industry-academia partnerships
Organize FDPs, workshops, seminars, and conferences
Qualifications (As per UGC Norms):
Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science / Information Technology/relevant discipline with First Class or equivalent
Master’s Degree (M.E./M.Tech / M.Sc.) in Computer Science / Information Technology / relevant discipline
Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / relevant discipline from a recognized university
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of teaching/research/industry experience
At least 3 years at the level of Associate Professor
Research Requirements:
Minimum 10 publications in peer-reviewed / UGC-CARE listed journals
Research Score of 120 as per UGC Regulations (API system)

Excellent communication and teaching skills
Leadership and team management capabilities
Ability to mentor and guide research scholars
