The Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) takes great pride in its work to support the priorities of the DeWine-Tressel administration to ease access for those doing business with the state, secure state data and technology resources, and create efficiencies for our state government partners while keeping costs in check.

The State and Federal Surplus Services program facilitates the recycling of excess supplies within government and attaining maximum return on investment. Property declared as surplus is made available to other state agencies, political subdivisions and other eligible recipients. Remaining property is sold at public auctions. State agencies and members of the Federal Surplus program also may acquire excess federal property.

What you'll do

**4 Open Positions**

Provides general labor duties for State & federal Surplus\: loads & unloads trucks; moves merchandise to specific location in warehouse; maintains clean warehouse (e.g., sweeps, mops, dusts); operates mechanical equipment (e.g., trucks, manual & electric hand jacks, carts) associated with movement of surplus property; operates truck when needed for pick up & delivery of surplus property; reports any mechanical equipment problems that may occur to immediate supervisor.

Assists in vehicle lot\: drives & parks cars in vehicle lot; writes information on vehicle windshield; provides assistance during auction; other duties as assigned.

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication & division. In accordance with Section 124.11 (B)(2) of Revised Code, Director of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination.
