Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to support a small school community in Hempstead, TX. This part-time role includes managing a caseload of approximately 20 students and providing individualized support to meet academic and behavioral needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct special education instruction and support to assigned caseload
Manage and maintain a caseload of approximately 20 students
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with general education staff and families
Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Support student academic, behavioral, and social development
Required Qualifications
Active Special Education Teaching License (Texas required)
Experience working with elementary or secondary students preferred
Strong knowledge of IEP development and compliance
Ability to manage a small caseload independently
Strong communication and organizational skills
