Description
The Idabel Lumber manufacturing facility has an open position for an hourly Maintenance Planner/Scheduler. This position which reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Key Functions
The successful candidate for Maintenance Planner will be responsible for using computer-based programs to support effective prioritization of maintenance requests, manage maintenance inventory, and delegate maintenance resources. In addition, this role will support continuous improvement efforts for the mill, while involving maintenance and production crews in problem solving to maximize facility improvement in safety, housekeeping, waste reduction, quality, productivity and cost.
This role is responsible for:
Ensuring the safety of all associates by identifying safety issues and taking measures to proactively address concerns.
Actively overseeing, developing, and participating in preventative maintenance activities and ensuring effective communication across & between shifts and with the production teams.
Utilizing preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtime.
Efficient use of reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure uptime, production volume and quality goals are met.
Identifying safety, environmental, quality and production issues.
Identifying measures to minimize costs and reduce waste.
Proactively resolving issues, building teamwork, and ensuring adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Minimum of one (1) year experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Knowledgeable in the areas of basic electrical & mechanical processes.
Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all associates.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong work ethic, good judgment, and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency in MS Office, other windows-based programs and internet skills.
Experienced with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems; preferably SAP, or other CMMS applications.
Must be willing to work holidays as needed, be "on-call" and provide other support as assigned.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures and at heights should conditions warrant.

Preferred Qualifications
Technical, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field or currently enrolled in technical or college program.
