Wireless Transport Standards and CND Process Engineer (Contract)

We are a highly experienced telecommunications contractor seeking a Wireless Transport Standards and CND Process Engineer to lead standards development and process ownership within the Common Network Database (CND). This role plays a key part in enabling next-generation wireless transport solutions and advancing automation across a national network.
Wireless Transport Standards and CND Process Engineer Responsibilities
Serve as the business owner for transport standards and processes within CND.
Lead development and publication of technical standards using VZKnowledge format.
Define requirements for wireless transport tools supporting C-band, Fixed Wireless Access, and eNSE technologies.
Establish and document naming conventions for circuit paths, service types, and transport configurations.
Drive data integrity improvements, including DQI support and inventory cleanup efforts.
Facilitate SME discussions with regional engineers to enhance processes and automation.
Collaborate with development teams to align standards with system enhancements.
Wireless Transport Standards and CND Process Engineer Qualifications
Required:
Strong experience in wireless transport engineering (RAN, network, or construction).
Deep knowledge of CND platform and transport inventory management.
Proven ability to document technical standards in telecom environments.
Experience with next-gen technologies (C-band, FWA, eNSE).
Ability to lead cross-functional technical discussions.
Preferred:
5+ years in telecommunications transport engineering.
CCNA certification.
Familiarity with eNSE optical systems (Ciena, Nokia, Cisco).
Experience with Granite systems.
