Qualifications:
Hold current, active California Education Specialist Credential in Moderate/Severe Disabilities (mod/severe)
Degree in Special Education or closely related field
Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially those with significant needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive environments
Responsibilities:
Instruct and support a 2nd grade student with moderate to severe needs based on IEP goals
Develop customized lesson plans to promote academic and functional skill acquisition
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and family members to monitor progress
Document student growth, challenges, and strategies used
Uphold professional and ethical standards within the school setting
Ensure a safe, engaging, and positive learning atmosphere
