Job Title: .NET Developer (Programmer 3) Job Code: OH 800825 Client: State of Ohio – City of Columbus (Department of Technology) Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid – Local Only) Duration: Contract until 12/31/2026 (Extension Possible)

Position Overview The City of Columbus Department of Technology is seeking an experienced .NET Developer to support and enhance existing custom applications. This role involves backend development, application support, and working closely with users to maintain and improve system functionality.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain .NET (C#) applications with SQL backend

Analyze, design, and implement application enhancements and bug fixes

Provide ongoing application support and troubleshooting

Work with users to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs

Support applications including REDCap, SAS, and GitHub-based systems

Create and maintain technical documentation

Track and resolve issues, risks, and system defects

Participate in process improvement and optimization efforts

Provide regular updates on progress to team leads

Required Skills & Experience

6+ years of .NET development experience

Strong expertise in:

C#, .NET Framework

SQL Databases and query optimization

Experience in:

Application maintenance and production support

Code enhancements and debugging

Writing technical and system documentation

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills

Experience with REDCap and SAS

Familiarity with GitHub and version control systems

Experience in data-related applications or electronic data capture systems
