Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Evening shift, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM; includes every other weekend requirement

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility

Monitor and report resident changes by taking vital signs and documenting observations accurately

Support meal assistance and safe feeding practices while respecting resident preferences

Maintain a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols

Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Assist with transfers, positioning, and use of assistive devices to promote resident comfort and dignity

Contribute to accurate charting and handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Participate in care planning and follow-through to help residents meet their goals

Qualifications

Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification; Travel LNA (T-LNA) experience a strong plus

Valid state-required credentials for Vermont or ability to obtain Vermont LNA authorization

CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire

Comfortable with basic clinical assessments, documentation, and resident-centered care

Able to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Reliable, team-oriented, with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education

Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program or equivalent and active LNA certification

High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of ADLs, vital sign measurement, and safe resident handling

Familiarity with common long-term care practices and infection control

Basic charting skills and ability to learn electronic medical record systems

Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills

Good time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs

Teamwork mindset and clear, respectful communication with staff and families
