Job Description

This full-time Order Picker role is part of a collaborative shipping team in a positive manufacturing environment. You will pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to quality standards. The position offers structured training, a clear shift schedule, and eligibility for bonus incentives.

Responsibilities

Pick, pack, and ship products accurately based on daily customer orders.

Follow quality plans and meet all specifications of customer orders in a timely manner.

Keep products separated, organized, and in proper rotation to maintain inventory integrity.

Monitor picked quantities while packing and promptly report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.

Use a continuous improvement mindset to identify and suggest opportunities to enhance processes and workflows.

Follow all workplace safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area, including workstations, equipment, and surrounding spaces.

Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners as needed to move, track, and manage inventory.

Assist with general warehouse tasks including material handling, packaging, and production support as required.

Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall efficiency of the shipping and warehouse operations.

Essential Skills

Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment.

Ability to pick, pack, and ship orders with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, quality plans, and order specifications.

Strong focus on safety and ability to follow workplace safety guidelines.

Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.

Comfort with physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience operating forklifts, including sit-down forklifts.

Experience using pallet jacks for material handling.

Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory tracking and order processing.

Experience in inventory control and stock rotation.

Experience in packaging, production, or general labor roles in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.

Demonstrated dedication to customer service.

Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and workloads.

Solutions-driven mindset with a focus on problem solving.

Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work quality and outcomes.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position in a manufacturing and warehouse setting, working closely with a shipping team. Training is conducted on an 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. shift for approximately 30 to 90 days, after which the regular shift runs from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The role involves working on the warehouse floor with exposure to typical manufacturing and distribution activities. You will use equipment such as pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, RF scanners, and other material handling tools. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, sanitation, and safety, with clear guidelines to keep work areas organized and hazard-free. Attire is practical and suitable for a warehouse and production environment, supporting safe and efficient performance of physical tasks.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $12.00 - $18.00/hr.
