Pay Rate: $56.68/Hourly on W2.

Shifts: Rotating shifts between the hours of 8AM-6PM CST

Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated, motivated, and patient-driven Pharmacist. We are passionate about providing specialty services to disease states such as HIV, Hep-C, Oncology, and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

As a Pharmacist at CVS Specialty Pharmacy, you will provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals while offering leadership and guidance to supporting colleagues.

The Pharmacist leads the team in daily clinical and distributive activities, ensuring all tasks are performed in accordance with CVS Health Standards, Accreditation Standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

Duties

This individual must have excellent interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include:

Reviewing patient profiles, drug interactions, sensitivities, and drug usage databases in relation to patient prescriptions

Determining if prescriptions require physician clarification or should be forwarded for therapeutic intervention or follow-up calls

Entering prescriptions into the system

Assisting in patient services, including handling incoming medication-related questions and concerns

Supporting doctor call areas and therapeutic interventions, including contacting physicians to resolve issues

Maintaining procedures related to quality assurance, controlled substance security, and hazardous drug disposal

Collaborating with pharmacy team members to ensure prescription accuracy

Dispensing medications and performing final quality checks for accuracy and dosage

Experience

1+ year of previous pharmacy experience in a specialty pharmacy preferred

Appropriate state license required

Customer service or call center experience highly preferred

Basic computer skills required

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and detail-oriented skills

Required Qualifications

Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy

Active Pharmacist license in good standing in Tennessee

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of an interdisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications

Specialty pharmacy experience

Education

High School Diploma or GED required

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required

Minimum of two years of experience as a Pharmacist

Must hold an active license in good standing
