Job Description
This role involves performing commercial plumbing installation on a large construction project, focusing on domestic water systems, drain, waste and vent piping, and in-wall and overhead rough-in work. You will install and assemble copper, PVC, and cast iron piping using appropriate tools and methods while following safety standards and construction drawings.
Responsibilities
Install and assemble domestic water systems using copper pro press and PVC piping according to project specifications.
Install no-hub cast iron piping for drain, waste, and vent systems in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Perform in-wall and overhead rough-in plumbing installations on a commercial construction project.
Read, interpret, and work from blueprints and mechanical drawings to complete plumbing layouts and installations.
Measure, cut, fit, and join pipe and related fittings using appropriate tools and techniques.
Use aerial lifts and related equipment safely to perform overhead plumbing work.
Follow all site safety procedures, including proper use of fall protection, harnesses, retractables, and required PPE such as Type 2 hard hat with chin strap.
Coordinate with other trades on-site to ensure efficient and safe completion of plumbing work.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly store hand tools and equipment.
Adhere to the established work schedule, including potential overtime on weekdays and weekends as needed.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in plumbing installation on construction projects, including rough-in work.
Hands-on experience with copper piping, including copper pro press systems.
Experience installing PVC piping for domestic water and related systems.
Experience installing no-hub cast iron piping for drain, waste, and vent systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
Strong piping and mechanical installation skills in a construction environment.
OSHA 10 certification.
Aerial lift certification.
Fall protection certification.
Ability to safely use and maintain required hand tools for plumbing and piping work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Comfort working at heights using aerial lifts and appropriate fall protection.
Familiarity with harness and retractable fall protection systems.
Ability to wear and properly adjust a Type 2 hard hat with chin strap and other PPE.
Reliability in adhering to an early-morning start schedule and extended hours when needed.
Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings, including drug testing and bckgd checks.

Work Environment
This position is based on a commercial construction site at a large tower project. The schedule typically runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., offering substantial opportunities for overtime. Parking is available nearby but is not provided, so you should plan for paid parking. Work is physically demanding and performed both in-wall and overhead, often at heights, using aerial lifts and fall protection equipment. You will use standard plumbing and piping tools and are expected to bring and maintain your own hand tools. Proper PPE, including a Type 2 hard hat with chin strap, harness, and retractable fall protection, is required at all times on site.Job Type & Location

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
