Job Description
Venture Dynamics is seeking an experienced CNC Programming & Production Manager to oversee CNC machining operations and production workflow in a precision manufacturing environment. This role leads CNC programming activities while managing machining production to ensure quality, efficiency, and schedule performance. The position supports precision manufacturing of industrial and defense-related components using multi-axis CNC machining equipment. Assignments are project-based and may continue based on performance and operational needs.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis milling and turning centers using CAD/CAM software
Manage daily machining production activities to ensure schedules, throughput targets, and delivery commitments are met
Supervise CNC machinists, operators, and programmers to maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations
Analyze machining processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce cycle times
Coordinate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support manufacturing requirements and resolve technical issues
Oversee machine setup validation, program prove-out, and first article production to ensure accuracy and repeatability
Monitor tooling usage, machine performance, and maintenance needs to maintain optimal machining conditions
Track production metrics, labor utilization, and material usage to support cost control and production efficiency
Requirements
Minimum 7 years experience in CNC machining, programming, or manufacturing operations
Demonstrated experience supervising machinists, programmers, or machining teams in a production environment
Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, multi-axis machining centers, tooling, and workholding methods
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and G-code programming for CNC machining equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, machining specifications, and technical documentation
Strong troubleshooting and process improvement capabilities in high-precision manufacturing environments
Ability to manage production schedules, shop workflow, and manufacturing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM, or similar CAD/CAM programming platforms
Experience supporting defense, marine, aerospace, or heavy industrial manufacturing operations
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
Experience working within ERP or manufacturing production tracking systems
Additional Information
Work is performed in an active manufacturing and machining environment supporting industrial production operations. The role requires interaction with machining equipment, production personnel, engineering teams, and quality staff to maintain manufacturing efficiency and product quality. PPE may be required when entering active machining areas in accordance with facility safety policies. Reliable transportation is required to report to assigned manufacturing facilities. Work schedules may include overtime or extended hours depending on production demand.
