Job Description
Key Relationships:
Internal: Management team & team members and everyone involved in the operation.
External: New team members, members, vendors, support businesses, hospitality associations, and everyone involved in the operation.
Duties
· Prepare alcohol or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
· Takes food and beverage orders, carries trays, and serves food and drinks. Clears and cleans tables.
· Familiarity with basic cooking terminology and skills.
· Prepares takeout orders, wraps menu items.
· Performs opening station setup and prep work.
· Provides attention to members and their guests as soon after being seated as possible.
· Interact with customers, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks.
· Knowledge of food and wine pairing.
· Cleans all assigned work areas in front and back of the house.
· Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
· Check member and visitor identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
· Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
· Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
· Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
· Advises the supervisor of any member or guest complaints as soon as they occur.
· Assists in closing functions by performing various closing tasks.
· Assures that all state and local laws and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic
beverages are consistently followed.
· Consistently, follows sanitation-related requirements, including those related to personal hygiene.
· Places orders with the kitchen; informs cooks about any special cooking instructions.
· Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and special events, as business
directs.
· Attend staff meetings, including pre-serve (line-up) sessions and in-service training.
· Enters order in point-of-sales (POS) system and presents the bill.
· Performs clean-up and closing duties.
· Assists with special events as needed.
· Assists in training other food and beverage staff as needed.
· Maintains a professional appearance and complies with uniform and dress codes.
· Duties as assigned by the Director of Clubhouse Operations and/or the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager.
Qualifications:
· High school education or equivalent.
· RBS and Food Handlers Certification are required.
· 2 years of bartending experience
· Professional team player.
· Detail-oriented.
· Work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and special events as business dictates.
Skills:
· Ability or aptitude to perform each duty proficiently with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Strong communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.
· Ability to communicate in writing and orally with proper grammar in English.
· Ability to maintain the confidentiality of guest and employee information.
· Must be able to work in and be able to maintain organization and a positive attitude.
