Job Description
Moser Engineering Services is seeking an experienced, hands-on Toolmaker / Mold Maker to support the build, repair, and modification of precision tooling, mold components, and fixtures.
This is a true toolroom position focused on precision work — not a production-only or desk-based programming role. You will be working directly with tooling, fixtures, and complex components in a hands-on environment.
Position Type
· Full-time role with Moser Engineering Services
· Long-term, ongoing position (not temporary or project-based)
· Consistent workload supporting tooling and production operations
Shift
· Day shift, Full-time hours with overtime as needed
Key Responsibilities
· Build, repair, and modify molds, fixtures, and precision tooling
· Operate toolroom equipment, including manual mills, surface grinders, and Wire EDM
· Set up and run CNC mills (primarily 3-axis machining)
· Program parts to support tooling and production (NX CAM preferred)
· Fit, assemble, and troubleshoot tooling and components
· Read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T
· Perform in-process inspection to verify part quality
· Diagnose and resolve machining and tooling issues
Qualifications
· 5+ years of toolmaking or mold making experience
· Strong hands-on experience in a toolroom environment
· CNC programming experience (NX preferred)
· Experience setting up and operating 3-axis CNC mills
· Strong understanding of GD&T
· Ability to independently build tooling from engineering prints
Education
· High school diploma or GED required
· Technical certification, apprenticeship, or associate degree in Tool & Die, Machining, or Manufacturing Technology preferred
