Machine Electrician – Conveyor Systems
We are seeking an experienced Machine Electrician to support the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of conveyor systems, automated equipment, and industrial machinery used in fast-paced manufacturing, assembly, distribution, and material handling environments.
This role is ideal for a hands-on electrical professional with strong experience in electrical troubleshooting, controls wiring, PLC diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. The Machine Electrician will work closely with mechanical, controls, engineering, and operations teams to keep conveyor and automation systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and automated machinery
Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, sensors, photo eyes, VFDs, control panels, relays, contactors, and safety circuits
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic
Perform PLC troubleshooting and support controls-related repairs
Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to reduce downtime
Wire and test electrical components for conveyor controls, automation systems, and machine upgrades
Support installation and commissioning of new automation equipment
Follow lockout/tagout procedures, electrical safety standards, and workplace safety requirements
Partner with technicians, engineers, and production teams to improve equipment reliability and system performance
Qualifications
Experience as a Machine Electrician, Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, or similar role
Hands-on experience with conveyor systems and industrial automation
Strong knowledge of 480V electrical systems, 3-phase motors, motor controls, and control circuits
Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and machine controls
Proficiency reading electrical schematics and technical documentation
Experience with preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and system installations
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and minimizing equipment downtime
