Job Summary:
The Superintendent is the company representative for Sloan Security Group on each job site. This position is responsible for acting and communicating in a professional manner. The Superintendent’s organizational skills, the ability to coordinate, and the ability to communicate clearly with various personalities is paramount to project team accomplishments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Generate daily log
Create and maintain jobsite accident hazard analysis (AHA’s)
Coordinate subcontractors and miscellaneous manpower requirements
Generate weekly progress schedule
Coordinate material acquisition, tracking, and delivery
Represent Sloan at weekly subcontractor and owner coordination meetings
Manage field operations office
Manage material and equipment inventory—coordinate deliveries received on site, quantify receivables, and identify/procure variances prior to causing delays
Oversee and enforce all safety regulations, reporting, and documentation
Generate and maintain production tracker—calculate production rate (actual vs. bid), create a remediation plan to correct issues to maintain the schedule and budget
Create recalibration/remediation plan to return project to schedule
May conduct interviews for the Project Specific Labor as required
Coordinate and schedule equipment/vehicle maintenance, repair, and replacement
Must translate Contract Documents into a work plan that is communicable to the Owner/Owner’s Representatives, the GC/Sloan Upper Management, and the labor activity performing the work on site
Provide central interface point for Sloan management, suppliers, clients, workforce, etc.
Verify layouts, subcontractors, RFIs, and all other contract documentation
Oversee employee development (within Sloan employees) on project site
Identify and craft SOPs, policies, and protocols relating to Site Management
Input, review, and approve the crew’s time sheetsRequirements:
Skillset:
Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or GED required
Relevant Bachelor of Science degree (e.g., Construction Management, Engineering, etc.) and/or 3-5 years' experience in a Superintendent position
Ability to stand, sit, walk, talk, and listen for long periods of time.
Pass background check
Pass pre-employment drug screen
Demonstrable knowledge of and skills in:
MS Office and Procore
Critical path method scheduling
Cost controls and cost levelling
Interpreting plans and specifics
Basic knowledge of:
Surveying principles and practices
Manpower planning and deployment (i.e., managing people)
Concrete construction principles, methods, and practice
Low and high voltage electrical construction principles, methods, and practice
Gate systems theory, design, safety construction (UL325, ASTM F2200)
Field welding and steel erection principles, methods, and practice
Travel:
Be available to travel up to 100% as necessary.

Ability to work outdoors in various temperatures, weather, and periods of darkness, as well as conditions such as mud, snow, ice, and direct sunlight
