About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to join our Grinding Department. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes to produce high precision components according to detailed engineering drawings. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to produce parts to specification.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and part dimensions.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on CNC equipment.

• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met.

• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

• Support production needs by performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 3–5 years of CNC lathe operating experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.

• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).

• Solid understanding of machining principles and CNC operations.

• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.

Preferred:

• Technical school certificate or formal machining training.

• Experience with CNC programming and editing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods.

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
