H2 Performance Consulting (H2) is seeking an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). The ISSM will assist with wing-level interface between HQ ACC, AFGSC, AFSOC, AETC, Combat Air Force units, and other USAF, Department of Defense (DoD), and U.S. Government agencies.
Responsibilities:
Information Assurance & Security Management
Serve as the 25 Attack Wing Information Assurance Officer (IAO) for Advanced Programs, responsible for planning, analysis, acquisition, design, development, implementation, quality assurance, configuration, installation, integration, maintenance testing, operational integrity, and systems security of Automated Information Systems (AIS) and classified LAN/WAN systems.
Certify special access AIS to ensure compliance with governing directives; coordinate approvals with USAF and MAJCOM.
Conduct initial isolation and containment of AIS involved in improper configuration or usage.
Manage the Network Security Program and ensure protection of information across LAN, WAN, and other communication systems.
Implement and advise on IT security policies, procedures, and best practices.
Report incidents involving viruses, tampering, or unauthorized access to USAF and MAJCOM.
Evaluate vulnerabilities and oversee implementation of physical and technical security controls.
Develop and implement methods to prevent unauthorized access, interception, and data compromise.
Policy, Compliance & Risk Management
Assist in developing and applying security policies, procedures, and guidance at the wing level.
Research, interpret, and apply National, DoD, DCID, JAFAN, USAF, and MAJCOM policies.
Assess situations for deviations from standard security practices and justify temporary waivers when appropriate.
Adapt regulations to local organizational needs and operational environments.
Training & Awareness
Conduct Information Assurance Awareness Program training (initial and recurring).
Advise IAOs and personnel on training requirements, security updates, and procedural changes.
Provide security briefings and orientation for new personnel.
Assist unit-level IAOs in implementing security education programs.
System Administration & Technical Support
Administer user accounts, including creation, deletion, password resets, and access control.
Ensure proper firewall implementation and system access restrictions.
Provide hands-on technical support for software, hardware, and networking.
Support system integration and configuration across multiple platforms and environments.
Maintain a trouble resolution database and provide ongoing customer support.
Oversee system usage, including database access, backup, recovery, and performance optimization.
Assessment, Reporting & Lifecycle Management
Conduct self-inspections and produce detailed reports with corrective actions.
Track system lifecycle and analyze maintenance/replacement costs to support budgeting.
Provide leadership with analysis and recommendations for complex IT and automation challenges.
Qualifications:
Clearance & Eligibility
U.S. Citizen with ability to pass background investigation (FBI fingerprint check and NACI)
Active Top Secret / SCI clearance
No disqualifying legal, administrative, or employment history
Experience & Certifications
Minimum of five (5) years of IT experience
CompTIA Security+ certification (DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II compliant)
Ability to obtain CISSP certification within 6 months of assignment
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of:
Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity principles
LAN/WAN networking, system security, and multi-level security systems
System administration (account management, access control, firewalls)
Vulnerability assessment and risk mitigation
Data protection principles (confidentiality, integrity, authentication, non-repudiation)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint
Professional Skills
Strong business acumen and sound professional judgment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, mission-driven environments while maintaining accuracy, discretion, and compliance
