Responsibilities
Noblis is looking for a highly experienced TS/SCI eligible Software Engineer with Python development experience to support critical national security missions.
As a Python / Software Engineer, you will design, build, test, and maintain software solutions of application development projects that support critical IT infrastructure. Working alongside lead architects, you'll contribute to the development of scalable applications, including large-scale data processing and advanced analytics systems used in forensic and investigative environments.
The ideal candidate has practical experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining application solutions using Python.
Job Responsibilities
Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining application solutions supporting IT infrastructure
Building and integrating third-party tools while developing custom features and capabilities.
Enhancing and maintaining existing codebases, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement
Automating operational and maintenance processes to improve efficiency.
Developing systems for large-scale data processing and advanced analytics.
Participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Collaborating on requirements gathering, development, testing, and quality assurance
Contributing to technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities.
Supporting development across multi-enclave environments (Unclassified, Secret, Top Secret)
Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Required Qualifications
Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and ability to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
One of the following:
Bachelor's or master's degree with five (5) years of experience
Associate degree with eight (8) years of experience
High School diploma with eleven (11) years of experience
Proficiency in Python development
Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
Experience with object-oriented design and development
Proficiency with Git or other version control systems
Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD)
Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
US Citizenship is required
Desired Qualifications
Experience working within the SAFe Agile framework
Strong understanding of forensic and investigative data requirements
Proficiency with relational databases and SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server)
Frontend development using frameworks such as Angular, React, or Svelte
Data streaming and integration tools (e.g., Apache NiFi)
Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform
GraphQL API design and implementation
Microservices-based architecture
Experience working in classified or multi-level security environments
Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.

USD $90,700.00 - USD $141,775.00 /Yr.
