Converting Machine Operator I - Second Shift

Job Description Basic Purpose and Function: This is an entry-level position reporting to the Shift Lead and Supervisor.

Requiring adequate performance running shape machines, making simple seal products, cut out products, or unprinted products.

Job Responsibilities Entry-level Assembly/Packing machine operatorRunning shape machines, making simple seal products, cutting out products, or unprinted productsFollow all safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe work environmentCorrectly fill out daily paperwork, which includes basic math and an accurate count of products producedProduce minimal scrapMake machine adjustments as neededEnsure the product meets or exceeds the specification on the templateMaintain a clean workstationActively participate in 5S and Stop Audit programsPreferred: ISO 13485 and Food Safety Compliance QualificationsAttention to detailBasic math skillsBe able to read, write, and communicate in EnglishMechanically inclined.

Physical RequirementsStand/Sit up to 8 hours a dayAble to work 8 – 12 hours a dayRepetitive reaching and grasping up to 90% of the day with both handsMust be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Safety Requirements The employee’s position involves operating industrial manufacturing equipment and working around:Heavy-duty converting machinesPlastic slitters and cutting equipmentMoving mechanical parts These duties require the employee to maintain situational awareness and follow workplace safety procedures to protect themselves and other employees.
