Now Hiring: Lead Hand (Production)

Location: Stratford

Department: Manufacturing / Production

Reports To: Production Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Lead Hand to support daily production operations and lead a team on the shop floor. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. What You’ll Do

Lead & Support the Team

Provide day-to-day leadership to production employees

Foster a positive, safe, and productive work environment

Address employee concerns and support training and development

Drive Production Performance

Coordinate daily production schedules based on customer demand

Ensure targets for output, efficiency, and on-time delivery are met

Monitor inventory levels (WIP and finished goods)

Perform machine changeovers and ensure shift readiness

Ensure Quality & Compliance

Enforce quality standards and verify all parts meet specifications

Work with Quality Assurance to improve processes and reduce defects

Participate in corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives

Promote Safety

Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations

Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions

Ensure proper procedures are followed, including heat breaks when required

Continuous Improvement

Support Kaizen initiatives and suggest process improvements

Maintain 5S standards for a clean and organized workspace

Keep work instructions and documentation up to date

What You Bring

Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment

Previous leadership or supervisory experience (preferred)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced setting

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and quality
