Conformal Coating operator

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Conformal Coating Operator to join our manufacturing team.

In this role, you will be responsible for applying protective conformal coatings to electronic components and assemblies, ensuring durability and reliability in various environmental conditions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with manufacturing processes, and experience handling precision materials.

Duties Operate conformal coating equipment, including airless paint sprayers and automated dispensing systems, to apply protective coatings accurately on electronic assemblies.

Prepare components and surfaces by cleaning, masking, or masking removal using hand tools and industrial painting techniques.

Monitor coating application processes for consistency and quality, adjusting parameters as necessary to meet specifications.

Handle materials safely and efficiently using forklifts, cranes, and other materials handling equipment.

Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and uniformity.

Maintain cleanliness of workstations and equipment to ensure optimal production flow.

Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues related to coating application or material delivery.

Follow safety protocols related to the use of power tools, welding equipment, and chemical handling.

Support fabrication or assembly tasks as needed within the manufacturing process.

Requirements Proven experience with manufacturing operations, including knowledge of machining, fabrication, or industrial painting.

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and auto body or auto painting processes.

Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other warehouse or materials handling equipment safely.

Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, auto body repair, or construction painting is highly desirable.

Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers.

Basic math skills for measurements and process adjustments.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency.

Prior warehouse experience preferred for understanding inventory management and materials flow.

Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control in conformal coating applications.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining safety standards.

Load and unload coating machine Spraying and coating application procedures Perform any job in the coating department Document coating process information as per SOP Set up and calibrate coating equipment Retrieve fallen lenses from coating machine Confirm coating type and operation procedure Load and unload coating machine Remove any excess coating and perform manual touchup of any areas the coating machine Weigh coating ingredients as per formula in order to prepare coating solution/color solution Operate and clean all coating and solution preparation equipment used in the coating operation Document coating process information as per SOP Prepare coating solution/color solution Perform any job in the coating department Perform product changeovers to the coating machine Work on the pipe coating line department Make any machine adjustments necessary during the coating Recommend process maintanence schedules for all coating equipment Differentiating coating color on coated coupon or parts Troubleshooting techinical coating issues in all regionall facilities
