Job Title: Printing, Laminating & Embossing Operator
Reports to: Department Supervisor
Job Summary
The Textile Printing, Laminating, and Embossing Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring machinery used to print designs, laminate layers, and emboss patterns onto textile materials. This role ensures product quality, efficient production, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate textile printing, laminating, and embossing machines according to production specifications
• Load raw materials (fabric, films, adhesives, inks) and ensure proper alignment and tension
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
• Inspect finished products for defects such as misprints, uneven lamination, or improper embossing
• Maintain consistent color matching and pattern accuracy during printing processes
• Control temperature, pressure, and speed settings for laminating and embossing equipment
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on machinery
• Record production data, material usage, and quality results
• Follow work orders, production schedules, and supervisor instructions
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies
Quality & Safety Responsibilities
• Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Identify and report safety hazards or equipment issues immediately
• Maintain clean and organized work area (5S standards)
• Follow quality control standards to minimize waste and rework
Required Skills & Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in textile manufacturing, printing, laminating, or embossing preferred
• Ability to read and understand work orders, specifications, and production schedules
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Attention to detail and strong quality focus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment (noise, heat, moving machinery)
Work Environment
• Manufacturing/production floor setting
• Exposure to inks, adhesives, heat, and moving equipment
• Shift work may be required (including nights and weekends)
