Job Summary: Prepares nutritious meals for inmates as mandated by law.
Maintains a sanitary environment with the help of inmate workers under the Cook's supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Prepares food for inmates and staff.
Prepares trays to go to inmate populations, according to floor counts.
* Maintains a sanitary kitchen with the help of inmate workers under the Cook's supervision.
* Rotates stock and places food orders in correct storage areas.
* Instruct inmates in proper sanitation of dishes and equipment.
* Verifies special meals for special diets and prepares them.
* Informs Food Service Manager of problems involved with kitchen operation.
Work Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Experience in Quantity food production required.
* Requires a valid driver's license and adequate insurance as required by County Policy.
