We’re seeking a dedicated Milieu Manager to lead and strengthen the daily therapeutic environment in our Extended Day Treatment (EDT) program. In this role, you’ll ensure effective treatment, care, welfare, and safety for youth in the milieu and during transportation—through strong supervision, coaching, and hands-on program leadership.

What You’ll Do
As the Milieu Manager, you will work closely with the Program Manager to oversee daily program operations and ensure a safe, structured, trauma-informed therapeutic environment. Your responsibilities include:
Supervising, training, and evaluating milieu staff to ensure high-quality care and adherence to agency policies
Supporting staff in implementing individualized treatment goals and effective behavior management strategies
Ensuring accurate, timely documentation and compliance with DCF, DSS, Joint Commission, and agency standards
Providing clinical and administrative supervision, coaching, and crisis support as needed
Overseeing transportation coordination and daily program scheduling
Assisting with group facilitation and direct care coverage when necessary
Collaborating with families, schools, and community partners to support youth success
Promoting a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate treatment environment
Perform other duties as assigned to support program success.
What We’re Looking For
Current Clinical licensure (LMFT, LCSW, LPC) in the State of Connecticut required
Valid Connecticut driver’s license with a clean driving record
Current CPR/First Aid certification
Experience working with families in a social services, child welfare, or behavioral health setting is strongly preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively with families, staff, and external partners.
Minimum of one year of post-full licensure experience, with training in child psychopathology and developmental psychology
Working knowledge of DSM-V and the ability to engage clients therapeutically in individual, family, and group modalities
Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally competent care and ethical practice
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, climbing, driving, and repetitive motion
Ability to perform light (<20 lbs.) and moderate (20–50 lbs.) lifting
Potential exposure to waste and bodily fluids
